The transformation is surprisingly smooth for a figure this complex, and the new red paint job pops beautifully. Posing him in robot mode feels solid, no loose joints at all. Really glad I grabbed this version.

The red car mode looks fantastic with the glossy finish, though the joints on my copy are a bit tighter than I'd like. Still, it holds together nicely in both forms and the transformation sequence is clever.

The transformation from robot to red sports car is surprisingly smooth for a figure this detailed, and the new coloring really pops under bright light. Only wish the instructions were a bit clearer on a couple of steps, but once you get the hang of it, it's a solid piece.
