The transformation from robot to train is so smooth that I found myself switching it back and forth for a solid ten minutes just to watch the mechanism click into place. The train mode is surprisingly sturdy once you get the wheels locked in place, and the robot joints hold poses well enough for shelf display. It’s a bit fiddly the first time you switch modes, but after a couple of tries it clicks together smoothly.
