DX Chogokin Macross 1/48 Scale VF-1J Armored Parts Set - Tamashii Web Exclusive

The extra head and pilot figure are a nice touch, but the real standout is how the armored chest and shoulder blocks snap on with that satisfying DX Chogokin click. I was worried about the balance with all this weight on, but it still holds a solid pose on the shelf.

The die-cast joints feel incredibly sturdy when snapping the armor plates onto the VF-1J, and swapping the head for the included alternative is satisfyingly easy. It's a perfect, hefty upgrade for the already great Valkyrie figure, even though you do need to buy the base unit separately.

The armor fits snugly onto the VF-1J, though I wish the instructions were clearer for the smaller parts. The included alternate head and pilot figure are nice touches for display options. Overall a solid upgrade for existing owners.
