A combination of a structure faithful to its setting, articulation gimmicks to recreate various poses from the series, and an examination of existing machines unique to the RG series.

What is Real Grade?

Real Grade is a line of Gunpla kits by Bandai introduced in 2010 as part of the Gundam 30th Anniversary commemoration project. The RG line combines one of the best aspects of the other three Gunpla lines: The small size and affordable price of the High Grade, the advanced inner frame technology of the Master Grade, and the massive parts count and details of the Perfect Grade. The RG line reflects what a mobile suit would look like if it were built in present day. Real Grade, excitement embodied.

RG 1/144 #32 RX-93 NU GUNDAM

The final mobile suit used by Amuro Ray featured in Char's Counterattack is available as an RG kit. It includes a multi-link gimmick that allows armor parts to slide simultaneously with the articulation of the leg, as well as armor unfolding gimmick through the body based on a thorough investigation of actual machines, resulting in a product with condensed details unique to RG kits.

Sebastian ★★★★★ Oct 20, 2026

The articulation on this kit is incredible, allowing me to perfectly recreate Nu Gundam's iconic fin funnel deployment poses. I was surprised at how stable it feels despite all the moving parts. Really happy with how it turned out.

Andrew M. ★★★★★ Oct 18, 2026

The articulation on this kit is wild—I’ve got the Nu in a mid-dash pose from the movie and it holds perfectly without any loose parts. The panel lines are crisp right out of the box, and the inner frame detail makes the whole build feel premium.

Owen Z. ★★★☆☆ Oct 19, 2026

The inner frame is impressively detailed for the scale, but some of the joints feel a bit loose and struggle to hold certain poses. It took me longer than expected to build because a few parts didn't snap together cleanly. Still, the finished look is decent enough for the price.
