I wasn't sure what to expect with the articulation, but the joints on this figure are surprisingly tight and poseable even in robot mode. The excavator mode locks together really well, and the whole thing has a nice weight to it that feels premium.

The transformation from excavator to robot is surprisingly smooth for a figure this complex, and the articulation holds poses really well once you get him set up. Only minor gripe is the instructions are a bit dense for the first few conversions, but you get the hang of it.

The transformation from excavator to robot is clever and the articulation is decent, but the joints on mine are a bit looser than I'd like after a few poses. It looks great on the shelf, though I wish the compatibility details were spelled out a little clearer.
