Transformers Studio Series 86 - Core Class Ratchet

The hinge joints on his legs are nicely tight, so he holds poses well in bot mode. I like that the ambulance roof folds into his chest just like the G1 cartoon. A satisfying little figure that fills out my '86 shelf nicely.

The transformation is surprisingly smooth for a Core Class figure, and the ambulance mode locks together tighter than I expected. It's small but packs a lot of detail, and the alt mode actually looks like a proper medic vehicle rather than a blocky afterthought.

Picked this up to complete the 86 movie cast, and the transformation is impressively simple yet satisfying for a Core Class figure. The white and red paint apps are crisp, and he scales perfectly with the other Studio Series bots in the line.
