Unique Toys has announced their latest combiner project, Ordin. Ordin is an homage to the G1 Transformer Abominus. The fourth figure in the release is O-04 Siegfried. Siegfried converts from robotic monster to robot and back. Siegfried forms one of the limbs of Ordin in combined mode.

The die-cast metal in the joints gives Siegfried a satisfying heft that the plastic combiner pieces usually lack. His transformation is intricate but rewarding, with the robot mode posing solidly without any floppy parts. A great addition to the Ordin set.

The transformation on Siegfried is surprisingly intuitive for a figure this complex, with joints that click solidly into place. I spent an hour just posing him in robot mode before even attempting the combined form.

Transformation is fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it, and the robot mode has solid articulation for posing. My only minor gripe is that the plastic feels a bit lighter than I expected for the price point.
