Transformers Studio Series 86 - Deluxe Gnaw

The transformation sequence is really clever, 17 steps makes it feel like a proper puzzle. Articulation in the robot mode is good for a deluxe class figure.

The shark head sculpt is fantastic and the hinge joints let me pose him mid-snarl in robot mode without any flimsiness. The backdrop piece was a nice surprise too, makes him look like he’s rising out of the Quintesson pit. He’s been my desk buddy all week.

Finally got my hands on this Gnaw figure and the 17-step transformation is surprisingly satisfying for a Deluxe class. The robot mode's sculpted detail matches the movie look perfectly.
