Transformers Studio Series 83 - Voyager Soundwave

Even in spacecraft mode the panel lines lock together so cleanly it feels like a much more expensive figure. The robot proportions are spot on for the G1 look I grew up with, and the transformation is satisfyingly complex without being frustrating.

The 29-step transformation is the sweet spot—challenging enough to feel rewarding, but the joints stay tight so it doesn’t frustrate. The hovercraft mode locks together cleanly, and at 6.5 inches it has a nice heft on the shelf.

Took me a few tries to nail the hovercraft transformation, but once it clicks, the 29 steps flow really smoothly. The robot mode stands solid at 6.5 inches and has a nice, hefty feel.
